Our Story

Silk Ranch started with an obsession for beautiful fabric. The founder, Sheryl Brown,
retired from working in interior design and was looking for a new, creative outlet. While
traveling, she discovered a channel to previously loved Indian silks. Each beautiful but
worn or damaged vintage saree told a story and held the potential for new life.
The first product was simple: palazzo pants reminiscent of 1930's beach pajamas as
popularized by Coco Channel. The vision was Boho silk meets Texas western. This pull-on
flowing design wears like a skirt and styles effortlessly with everything from cowboy boots
to flip-flops. Perfect for your beach bag.
Six years later, the Silk Ranch brand has expanded into a collection of elegant kimonos for
women or men. Additionally, original dresses with a western flair, flowing tops, skirts, and
vintage silk accessories. Collectible designs that make best use of each piece of colorful,
sustainable silk.
Know that your Silk Ranch Collection purchase is crafted in a small, woman-owned and
fair-trade shop that uses only sustainable, recycled silks. The result is a one-of-a-kind
keepsake that will be passed down to the next generation.
